Large Financial Corporation (NY/NJ)

Panaven successfully completed a multi-platform, multi-tier data center migration, storage consolidation, and server remediation project for a large-scale financial corporation in the NY/NJ area.

The project consisted of moving a total of 460 servers and their data storage from a NY data center to a new NJ data center over a six month time-frame. Servers consisted of Unix (Solaris, Linux) Windows and VMware. Servers were stand alone, clustered, and blade centers. The greatest number of servers moved in a weekend was 70. Server remediation was also performed as the servers were moving from an older generation storage model to state of the art arrays which required that drivers and software be upgraded. The storage was also consolidated during the migration from 10 arrays to 5 at the final destination data center.
